About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Research Intern to join our Life Science Foundation Model team. You will work at the intersection of deep learning, computational chemistry, and molecular biology, contributing to the next generation of large-scale models for biological systems.
In this role, you will help design, train, and evaluate deep learning models that can represent complex molecular systems — including proteins, DNA/RNA, and small molecules — by combining molecular dynamics (MD), quantum mechanics (DFT), and cutting-edge AI techniques.
What You'll Do
Develop and test new deep learning architectures for molecular and biomolecular systems.
Integrate simulation data from molecular dynamics and density functional theory (DFT) calculations.
Analyze biological datasets spanning protein structures, nucleic acid sequences, and molecular interactions.
Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of computational chemists, structural biologists, and AI researchers.
Contribute to internal tools and pipelines for high-throughput data generation and model training.
Who You Are
✅ Must-Have
Solid understanding of deep learning fundamentals (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or similar).
Practical experience with molecular simulations, such as MD (GROMACS, AMBER, NAMD, or OpenMM).
Familiarity with quantum chemistry methods, especially DFT (e.g., ORCA, Gaussian, VASP).
Strong foundation in structural biology: proteins, DNA/RNA, or molecular assemblies.
Hands-on experience working with relevant biological databases (PDB, AlphaFold, etc.)
✅ Nice-to-Have
Experience with generative models for molecules (e.g., diffusion models, graph neural networks).
Familiarity with protein–protein or protein–ligand docking tools.
Comfort working in Linux HPC environments and handling large datasets.
Published work in computational biology, chemistry, or ML for science is a plus.
✅ You love to work across disciplines
You enjoy collaborating with people from AI, biology, and physics.
You’re comfortable reading papers outside your immediate domain.
You’re curious, hands-on, and motivated to build foundation models that can impact the future of biotech.
Why Join Us
Work on cutting-edge research that combines AI with real-world biology and chemistry.
Collaborate with leading scientists and engineers.
Get exposure to state-of-the-art computing infrastructure and simulation pipelines.
Grow your career at the intersection of AI and life sciences.
